I love my Coach

I know.....I haven't posted in a while! I have wanted to but just couldn't really decide what to post. Sad! Anyway, now that we are fully emersed in Farmer Football , I decided to share what life is like for my husband, Coach Gaddis!!! We are coming off of a victory over Grapevine last night, 36-10! Saturdays are always better after a win!! We went to bed last night at 12:30. My husband can never sleep after a game so he got up and watched the Weather Channel and tracked Ike. Then he was up at 5:30 this morning and back at the Field House to watch last night's game. We are open next week so he will come home this afternoon and not have to go back to the FH until Monday!!! Typically his weekend consists of working at the FH early Saturday morning and then back to the FH Sunday to prepare for the next week's game! By Sunday evening, he is wiped out and pooped!!
He is so organized and works so hard to prepare the team for the upcoming game. He is not alone, however, he has a wonderful coaching staff that are not only great coaches but great men!!! I am so proud of him! He works hard and rarely complains. He loves what he does and he loves the young men he coaches. He not only teaches them football but he teaches them about life, character, and Jesus!! He does everything 100% ! I am so thankful for how he takes care of me and our children! Logan, Lindsey, Jason, Jackson, and I are so blessed! We love you Coach G aka Dad, Poppy, Hubby!! Go Farmers!!!

Pastor J

It is my honor and great joy to write about a very special person in our family!! He is the Student Pastor at Bay Area Fellowship Church in Corpus Christi, TX. The students call him Pastor J but he is also Dad to Jackson, Husband to our daughter Lindsey, and we are blessed to call him Son-in-law!! As parents, Stephen and I prayed for Lindsey's mate since the day she was born. We knew when she was a young teenager that she was probably going to be in some type of ministry so we began to pray for her mate with that in mind. She met him her first Wednesday night in college at a college service where he was the speaker. Friends at first, after time they became "more than friends" and began dating, marrying months later. ( Hope I remembered all that correctly....I think I am close).
Jason is a wonderful husband and spiritual leader. He has wrestled with past hurts from his childhood and allowed our wonderful Lord and King to heal him and restore him. That comes through in his parenting of his 4-year-old son. He wants so much to pass wholeness and love to Jackson, while teaching discipline and respect. For that, his son adores his daddy!! I have seen it with my own eyes!! We are so greatful for how he leads his wife. He also is well aware of how blessed he is to have her partner with him in ministry....she is his right hand!!!
Jason went to seminary, where he studied church planting. They are currently waiting patiently and seeking the Lord as to where they might plant a church. He has been asked to speak at various youth events this summer in Florida and California. He will do an awesome job using his gifts to speak to young people about Jesus!!! He has just recently dropped 30 pounds! We can't wait to see him in person next week.....we have only seen pics!!! Way to go!!
We are blessed. We love you Jason. Thank you.

A New Thing!!

Ok....this is all new to me, but something I have been wanting to do for a while now! So please be patient with me as I try to step out of my comfort zone! Thanks to my sweet friend Kimmie Hughes for sharing her blogging expertise!!! She is a living doll and her husband, Beau, is one of the cutest and most passionate pastors I know (with or without the beard!)

I am so glad I am not too old to learn new and different things. I want to be a learner!! So many times God tries to teach me things but I'm not a learner....I am a hardheaded "know it all!" Lord help me!! I will be posting about life: my family; Jackson, the cutest grand son ever; his precious mom, Lindsey and brilliant dad, Jason; my talented son, Logan; my "red-neck" hubby Coach G; and our adorable "boarders" we have from time to time ( Bexie and Kristen at the moment...and that cute fiance Kent... he doesn't live here but he frequents our house quite a bit for some reason or other and he has a striking resemblance to Tony Romo!) I will talk about the things that make me laugh and the things that bring me to tears (doesn't take much!) Lord help YOU!! I promise not to be too boring or annoying!!! More to come!!! I am so excited, this will be fun!

See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland.
